The Festival will be held in Bulgarian capital Sofia on 30.04 -02.05.2010.

The Festival is organized by Europe Foundation for the development of cultural initiatives in collaboration with the Bulgarian Ministry of Culture, Sofia Municipality, National Cultural Houses Center.

Dance, vocal, and instrumental ensembles representing both processed and authentic folklore (songs, dances, folk-customs) are invited to take part in the Festival.

Festival’s purpose:

Popularization, preservation, development of folk traditions, customs, songs, dances of different counties of the world, acquaintance with cultural heritage, exchange of experience, creation of informal contacts between ensembles.

Тhe best ensemble will be awarded Grand-Prix, and each formation will receive an Honorary Diploma of Festival Participant and a valuable souvenir.
Within the period of the festival each ensemble is supposed to prepare a festival program of up to 20 minutes.

Festival participation cost: 80 EURO per person.

The price includes:

• Two day accommodation and two breakfast in a 2-3 bed room in a 2-star hotel in Sofia.
• Transfer (meeting and departure) from the railway station or airport to the hotel and concert hall and back.
  
• Festival fee.
  

Additional stay must be paid on 40 Euro per person for (one night and breakfast ). Additional lunch or dinner – 8 Euro per person.

Note: Participants in the festival who want to be put up in higher rank hotels have to pay :

• 100 Euro in a 3-star hotel in Sofia or 140 Euro in a 4-star hotel in Sofia /The price includes: Two day accommodation and two breakfast /

The participants may also take part in paid excursions
/for children’s groups/: Zoo, museum, excursion to ski resort Vitosha.  The trips are not included in the above mentioned price.

For each 15 participants one official is serviced free of charge, for the groups with over 25 participants a second official is serviced free of charge.

 The application form for the participation in Sofia Spring Festival must be sent before March 1, 2010 (by fax, mail or e-mail), color photo of the ensemble, and an advance payment amounting to 10% of the total cost should be transferred to the following account:
